It has been a tiring and rather stressful at times two months, but our rescue girl Millie is really starting to settle down with us now. She is now a lot more confident at home and we have now got her out for walks although she is still very nervous of strangers walking past. She is making progress everyday and hopefully as time goes on she will realise that people aren't going to hurt her when she is out on a walk. She loves walking up on our local forest so we take her there as often as we can so she can have a lovely long walk. She is not too bad walking past ladies but is more nervous of walking past men! She is very happy to come up and greet anyone who comes to visit though and everyone gets a madly wagging tail and a kiss on the hand. She has really bonded with me because I am with her more and she often follows me from room to room. She is a very laid back girl and doesn't bark, she just whimpers when I go out apparently. She has now realised that she is not allowed in the rooms with the hammies in and has now stopped trying to sneak in there so much thank goodness!
I really love having her around and she is wonderful company. We were all a bit overwhelmed when she first came home, it was a bit like bringing a new baby home, but now we have all bonded and she is a wonderful new member of the family. I have taken some more piccies of her and I will post them soon (that is if I can get a turn on the computer that is!)
