New Hamster Walt ...

Postby christine11276 » 30th Jul, '10, 01:19

I saw him and HAD to have him! I know he isn't a syrian and I was wondering if anyone knew what kind of dwarf he is?! Thanks.

he's gorgeous! I'm very jealous of the variety of Campbells you can get in the states. I'd guess at a mottled, but i don't know much about it as it's not usual to see them here

Aw cute! He's a mottled black campbell (which we also have in the UK Amy :P).

Do dwarfs do better with cagemates? I got him yesterday and he was by himself in his tank so I'm wondering if I should get another boy for his cagemate or just let him be. Thanks

they can have a cagemate, but as he was alone in the shop i'd leave it. Chances are that if you got another they would fight and you'd end up with two lone ones anyway. Only try another if a) you're happy with having two lone dwarfs and b) you can sex them yourself as shops are hopeless.
